Ferry to Tioman Island

If you're planning to visit Tioman Island soon, please double check with your travel agent. On Saturday, the ferry with 106 people was on its way to Pulau Tioman when it caught fire. Four people died and three are still missing.

As a result, the ferry's operator, Seagull Express and Accommodation Sdn Bhd (Seagull), has been directed to stop operations pending investigations.

There will be delay and not enough ferry available. Please ensure you have ample time for travelling especially flight time.

Blog Action Day - Save our environment

This topic is very relevant to my blog. Malaysia is a country that has nature resources i.e. it is one of its great assets. Most of tourist visit Malaysia is because of its nature environment i.e flora and fauna. I urged to all of our tourists - current and future.. to really take care of our environment, bring back all your bottle or plastic covers etc from your hiking to Mount Kinabalu, no bring back the corals, see only please. Don't destroy our treasure for our children..

F2000 World Cup Powerboat in Sabah

Twenty world-class powerboat drivers from 11 countries, including reigning champion Alex Carella of Italy, will vie for honours in the inaugural 2007 Sabah F2000 World Cup Powerboat Race in this coming 1st - 2nd December.

As the last race of the year, the Sabah leg will surely be a thriller when the drivers push themselves to the limit to claim the final honours of the season. This prestigious world-class event was timely as it coincides with Visit Malaysia Year 2007 campaign.
