Malaysia Airline (MAS) gives more discount!!

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is slashing between 10 and 15 percent from its usual package fares marketed in Asean countries until year-end to lure more tourists into the country. MAS has introduced 250 packages for the promotion, and the discounts are from June 1 to Dec 31. The MAS-Tourism Malaysia collaboration is to promote attractive and affordable VMY2007 packages in Asean countries for increased tourist arrivals into the country. The customised packages from as low as US$108 for twin-share to a maximum of US$1,129 single supplement, start from a three-day-two-night Malaysian experience with superior hotel accommodation, tours and meals.

Such offers can be grabbed through a wide range of MAS' distribution channels in the Asean countries - ticketing offices, website www.malaysia airlines.com, 24-hour toll free call centre 1 300 88 3000 in Malaysia and some 100 participating travel agents.

I'm Back!! Yahoooo!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, I have finished my exam, ACCA paper 3.3 last Friday. What a relieve! Hopefully I will pass the paper. It has been 12 days since my last posting.. lost a bit of words to write on the blog, but no worry, I'm sure it will come back soon..

Today, I want to tell you about Kuala Kubu Baru. It is a small town in Selangor before you reach the Frasier Hill. It has always played second fiddle to the hill resort though it has its own simple attractions for those who seek a pleasurable outing.

The biggest attraction in Kuala Kubu Baru is the early morning farmers market which is held daily but it comes alive particularly on weekends and public holidays with the added presence of out-of-towner who don't mind traveling out of the way to enjoy simple local food.

At the market, expect to join long queues especially at popular stalls selling local delicacies. Here you can find nasi dagang, nasi lauk, garlic muruku, and various traditional kuih like tepung bungkus. It made from rice flour with brown sugar and coconut filling and wrapped in coconut leaf. You will also find many varieties of salted fish and dried prawns.

Getting there
From Kuala Lumpur, you can take the scenic old road to Kuala Kubu Baru. Those who take the North-South highway can exit at the RAwang interchange. From there, the road will rejoin the old road to Kuala Kubu Baru. The farmer market is located opposite of the Maybank bank in the centre of the town.
