Policemen are now on bicycle!!

Police force in Penang has further enhance their team by deploying a team of policemen on bicycle. This team is placed strategically in top tourist areas such as Batu Feringghi, Gurney Drive etc... This effort is carry put to ensure better efficiency of police force at these areas in order to ensure safety and offers guidances to the tourists who stay around these areas.

With the bicycle, they would be able to cover an area in less time than on foot. Moreover, these bicycles can go into narrow lanes which are inaccessible to motorcycles and cars, and the public will find it easier to flag down a policeman on a bicycle for help. This method of bicycle patrols had proven to be successful in countries such as Australia and the United States.

KL tour while you're in transit

Latest effort from our government during this visit Malaysia is to offer short KL tour for KLIA transit passengers who are in transit for at least 4 hours. This is to offer a chance for these passengers to experience Kuala Lumpur despite their short stay.

Under this Discover Kuala Lumpur programme, the visitors will travel using high speed train, ERL to KL Sentral before visiting some of many interesting places i.e. KL Tower, Twin Towers, Central Market etc..

I personally thinks this is very good idea. At least the visitors will have some ideas of Kuala Lumpur during their short visit. They may even come back with their families for holiday.. The related party who incharge this programmed must ensure the tour offer is value for money and cater for visitors. I hope they have learned their lesson from double decker buses services..
