Gyeongbukgung

2T, Hanim and me decided to visit Gyeongbukgung (Gyeongbuk palace). For me, it exudes masculinity. Chandokgung is so pretty and feminine but Gyeongbukgung is definitely masculine. The scenery was highlighted by the beautiful autumn but the weather was cold and now I cringe for summer and hope for autumn scenery. Is it too much to wish for? ^_^

Fee entrance - 3,000 won.

The guy visited Kuala Lumpur 2 weeks before 2T and Hanim came to Korea!

Eating my favourite tteok. Hanim loved it cause it is like omochi - japanese version but 2T hated it cause she dislike 'kuih koci'.

Seoul Metro Art Center in Gyeongbuk Station. What I really like about Seoul subways are that they decorated the interior with historical arts as much as possible. I wish Malaysia does that too. So beautiful..

Noryangjin fish market

It is the biggest seafood market in Seoul and we started early in the morning. It seems cloudy and the sky was dark. We thought that it was going to rain but it wasn't! But the temperature fluctuated in between 2 to -2 celcius. Sheessh..people were crazy to shop for winter attire right after that!!

2T and Hanim were excited to see so many huge seafood which we couldn't see in Malaysia.

Myeongdong station.

A burger ad in Myeongdong station. I was hungry..if only a burger is this big. ^_^

Namsan Guesthouse

We rented 3 nights from 31st October until 2nd November at Namsan Guesthouse. It was a double bedroom and shared by 3 of us for 45,000 won ( plus 5,000 won for 3rd people) per night. The host offered free breakfast - ramen, bread with butter, jam and peanut butter, coffee and tea.

The place is strategically located near to exit 3, Myeongdong station. As usual we had to hike the hill to reach the guesthouse. It was so near to Namsan cable car station, a 5 minute walk from the guesthouse. The landmark of the guesthouse is Pacific Hotel.

The room was quite small for 3 person but due to tight budget we persevered hehe..cause it was so near to Myeongdong, we went there every single night! The crowd was crazy...

Our small room.

2T and Hanim posing in front of the reception.

This hill is way better than Big Bang/Happy guesthouse at Yaksu station but we preferred Big Bang/Happy guesthouse cause the 'omoni' there is so friendly and the guesthouse is very cozy.

Our compulsary breakfast - bread and peanut butter. Namsan guesthouse also provides ramen.

They have Wi-Fi and free internet access.

Jangheung to Seoul

My Final day in Jangheung was on 31st October. I planned to take the earliest bus to Seoul but my host insisted to take me for a 1 hour tour around Jangheung before I departed.

My bus ticket from Gwangju to Seoul.

Gwangju bus station. So big and clean! I felt like in KL sentral.
