New hotel in Melaka - Holiday Inn

Melaka's first new international hotel in over 10 years, the 20-storey RM68 million Holiday Inn Melaka, opened for business Monday at Bandar Hilir here.

The hotel overlooks the Straits of Melaka and is a short walk away from historic attractions such as the The Stadhuys, St Peter's Church and Jonker Street.

The four-star hotel has 275 guest rooms including four floors of executive club rooms, 10 suites and a presidential suite.The hotel is being managed by the InterContinental Hotels Group, the world's largest hotel group with over 3,650 hotels and 543,775 guest rooms in nearly 100 countries and territories.

Be careful ! Take care yourself..

I read this shocking news from the star online about a woman who was murdered at one of budget hotel here in Kuala Lumpur. The motive is still unknown. Police rule out the motive as robbery as all his personal belongings are still intact.

A hotel staff member who rushed to the third-floor room when receive call from the victim and found the guest sprawled on a blood-soaked bed, with slash wounds on her chest and neck.

She was found stabbed three times on her chest and slashed once on her neck. The alleged intruder, believed to be a Myanmar national, then escaped.

I urge all our guests to take a good care of yourself and belongings. It is unfortunate that this has happened. I'm sure the police has already start working on this case at this very moment..

Gold Coast flight is now open

Air Asia X will start its first flight to Gold Coast Australia in November. Its website has already included the destination for booking. It is certainly another great milestone for Air Asia and Malaysia. BRAVO!!

The promotion price for the single trip is only RM50. I actually went and queried for the flight but only can find economic promo for RM400++ and X promo for RM1,200++. Although it is not RM50, but hey! still cheap. Cheaper than its competitor JetStar.

600 fish in Underwater World Langkawi died

About 600 fish worth hundreds of thousands of ringgit have mysteriously died at Langkawi Underwater World.

Police believe the fish, which included sharks and stingrays, were poisoned. They have also not ruled out sabotage as the fish started dying just before closing time.

Among the sharks that died were the blacktip, whitetip, leopard and nurse sharks.
