About Me and This Blog

I don't want people to get any misconception or mislead anybody.

I need to clear the air here.

I am NOW in Malaysia.

I am NOT in Korea.

However, I have been traveling in Korea for 6 months from September 2009 to May 2010, partly alone and partly with a few friends (Malaysian/Korean) - WWOOFing and doing stuff..

I am preparing myself for KOREAN TOPIK EXAM (Intermediate level) which will be on 17th April 2011 (Sunday). I know it's still far ahead but I don't know who can master a language in a day, right? If you can, raise up your hands!! err..or mouse/mice? Hehehe..

So, in the meantime, I'm limiting a post per week in this blog. I'm gonna hybernate for a while.

By all means, if you have any doubt/questions/curiousity, shoot me an email at zemoneko@gmail.com.

yours truly,
Zarina

Seoul Review by MF

What MF got to say about Seoul?

MF said.... "Seoul was superb!!! I love it here.Rasa mcm nak tell off everybody, skip airasia to Japan and juz grab any first flight out to seoul. Wayyyyy better here.Today gonna be shopping my way to dondaemon. Nandaemon tak boleh shopping la. Tempat diorang sembelih orang kot, mahal la harga barang2 kat nandaemon. Coex, sama mcm normal japs price. Anyway, I guess, your blogs really help for my trip to Seoul this time. If do have any other tips advices, do share yer.
Thanks. "

Translated..." Seoul was superb!!! I love it here. I feel like telling off everybody to skip AirAsia promotion to Japan and just grab any first flight out to Seoul. Wayyyy better here (compared to Japan). Today gonna be shopping my way to Dongdaemun. I can't shop in Namdaemun. The items are too over priced and the sellers take advantage of the tourists. COEX Mall items are similar in price compared to Japan."

MF is currently working and living in Tokyo, Japan. He is currently in Seoul for a 4-days tour. So, you can imagine his total amazement and enjoyment of visiting Seoul. He is still in Seoul now giving me live updates.

Tip: Go to Namdaemun in early morning in weekday. Don't go there during weekend. From my experience, it's better to shop in Dongdaemun if you want to buy fashionable clothes. You don't need to bargain with ahjummas especially with our limited Korean language. However, you have to go Namdaemun for the brooches.

Selamat Hari Raya!

Hi everyone,

I want to wish everyone Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!! and Maaf Zahir dan Batin.

However, I will be celebrating the special day in the office due to the nature of my work.
Sobs..Sobs..T_T

Probably I will be returning to Johor after work and on Saturday night have to return to Kuala Lumpur due to Korean TOPIK exam on Sunday morning.

Life is so hectic nowadays and as you can see that I couldn't put up any post yet.
Will be doing so after the TOPIK exam and every little thing settled.

Have fun on Hari Raya and be safe!

Donation for My Budget Travel

Hi readers,

I have just put up a widget for donation to chip in for my budget travel.
First and foremost, I would like to thank Mr Dic for donating to support this blog. Initially I refused to do that but as suggested I could use the money to explore more magnificent places in South Korea and bring my readers to those places albeit virtually.

If you ever enjoy reading this blog and would like to support my journey, do chip in. I am thankful and grateful for that. ^__^

Thank you so much!

cheers,
Zarina

"Kebanggaan Seoul" came out on TV3 Main news

While having dinner with my friends in Kerinchi, we were discussing about plans to go to Seoul. Right after I finished explaining the budget and the itinerary, suddenly news of Seoul popped out on our Local TV News.

It felt surreal cause there we were discussing on the place and suddenly the same place popped out on the news. I really felt the goosebumps!

The place that we were discussing is Cheonggyecheon Stream.

Traveler guide blogger.. we want you!

Welcome to the one and only travel blog network for Asian countries. With recent development such as Air Asia X flying to London, Australia and China and more institutional investors investing in hotel in this region, I anticipate more and more people will come and visit this region, South East Asia. Even, Lonely Planet predicted Asian is hot destinations for 2011.

Realising this, I would like to invite bloggers from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and other South East Asia countries to take this opportunity to have travel blog on their own countries.

Since people who come to this region normally hopping from country to country in this region, having a travel blog network that interlink with each other will be able to provide the comprehensive and up to date information about tourism in the countries.

The following blogs are interlink with each and up for grab by interested bloggers. 100% of revenue from each blog goes to the bloggers themselves. I don't take any cut from there. The reason I do it is because I would like to attract more traffic. I have been blogging for 6 months for http://travelounges.blogspot.com/ and the revenue is increasing by day. So, I have reserved the following blogs under this blog network:

http://travelounges.blogspot.com/
