Sutra Dance Theatre - stage of traditional dances

An established dance company, Sutra Dance is owned by Ramli Ibrahim, the doyen of Indian classical dance on Malaysia. He is also one of the judges for You think You Can Dance - Malaysia. An Admired icon of theatre, his passion and love for dance has made him an household names. He not only dances, but also teaches the art form.

The classical and traditional dances performed by the company include Menora, MakYong, Odissi and Bharata Natyam. The contemporary recital rebels against classical form with brilliant and radical shows.

Performances are staged at the Amphi-Sutra. This hexagonal, Balinese style gazebo seats 200 people comfortably.

Gwen Stefani is visiting Malaysia?

Am I dreaming? I was so happy to read today's newspaper...

Gwen Stefani is making her 1st debut here in Malaysia. She will be performing at Putra Indoor Stadium on August 21. Hmm.. I don't think the concert can fit into the stadium, The maximum capacity is only 16,000. The concert will be on the Asian leg of her “The Sweet Escape” tour. The Asian leg will take her to Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong and Bangkok in August before hitting Kuala Lumpur.

I can't wait to hear Wind It Up and The Sweet Escape live... the organiser has not finally the ticket detail yet. I will update again soon. Stay tune people!!
