Baan Sukhawadee, Pattaya: Thailand


“Baan Sukhawadee is open to all with the intention to give visitors a feeling of being a joint owner, to discover the Truth of Living, and finally worship our several holy images such as the Lord Buddha at birth Image, the Goddess of Mercy, King Taksin the Great, King Chulalongkorn the Great, Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak, the father of Royal Thai Navy. Every object in this house is placed to provide a balance between art and science, and with the power of affection and generosity of the owner who never gives up nor surrenders to poverty as a limitation of life’s targets. All these objects can either be a motivation or be the beginning of the inspiration that lead you to achieve your goals”.
                
                    Sukhawadee means pureness-happiness-wealthness. All the main buildings are in both pink and blue. Pink stands for love and use cupid as a symbol. The ancient used to say “Without love, you will never succeed”. We need to be able to love and be loved and be unified with the group. To be able to discuss and to solve the problems to reach the goal. Blue stands for water. Water is the beginning of many lives. It can adjust its shape with any surrounding. If we can adjust ourselves with all the changes occurring in the world, we will be able to live happily in this society.  
                    Baan Sukhawadee was built in the year 2000 on 11 rais of land. The house is located on Sukhumvit Road and is 400 meter long and adjacent to the sea front. Now the area has been extended to cover more than 80 rais. The house is built in peaceful area surrounded with various botanical plants and great view combined with many stunning  buildings and and several holy images for worship such as the Lord Buddha at birth Image, the Goddess of Mercy, King Taksin the Great, King Chulalongkorn the Great, Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak, the father of Royal Thai Navy, etc.
                  
                 Baan Sukhawadee was created with intelligence and teamwork that was based on the fundamentals of love and harmony. Pattaya Marathon 2009 on 19 July 2009

The Pattaya International Marathon is one of the most famous marathons in Thailand that is organized yearly. Every year, there are many runners participating from various countries. In all, there are three races ; the full marathon (42 Km), the half marathon (21 Km) and the quarter marathon (10 Km).


The competition is held at Pattaya, Chonburi province on 19 July 2009

Koh Larn : Pattaya, Thailand

Koh Larn is located about 7km from Pattaya Beach. The Island is about 4km long and about 2km wide and has about a thousand residents most of whom live in the main village called Naban. There are about six beaches on the island that boast white sand and clear blue water. Koh Larn is a lush green tropical island which has an abundant amount of rain fall each year during monsoon. The terrain is mostly mountainous which is covered in most part with heavy vegetation, jungle if you will. Monkeys naturally inhabit the island as well as other wildlife. Infrastructure here in most part consist of narrow roadways covered with brick pavers.
There are many activities here for visitors to enjoy, some include para sailing, snorkeling, jet ski, banana boat, swimming in tropical waters, and there is even a shooting range located here. Because the island is mountainous there are also some spectacular views for those that like to take a few snapshots. Koh Larn is also very suited for bicycling and hiking, many bicycling events have been held here. Then there are the places to eat many right on the beach, serving up fresh, catch of the day sea food. Many visitors come to stay their entire vacation on Koh Larn and return year after year, kind of a home away from home for some.
Koh Lan is 45 minutes from Pattaya beach by boat or 20 minutes by long-tail boat. Most of the tour boats make anchor to take advantage of the foodshops and stalls along these beaches. Facing Hat Thong Lang are coral ranges. Visitors can choose glass-bottom boats and surface-diving. Hat Samae is located to the southwest while Hat Ta Phan is to the west of the island.
Ferries leave South Pattaya Pier daily from 10:00 to 18.30, the one-way fare being 20 Baht. The return ferry leaves Koh Lan’s Na Ban Beach at 12:00 and 14:00.
